ABUJA, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari today received National Leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja as crisis continued to rock the APC in Edo State.
It was a closed door meeting but the focus will be the crisis rocking the APC. Recall that the Edo State Chapter of the party suspendend the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, while the national party few days ago suspended Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and Frank Shuibu, a chieftain of the APC.
This crisis is taking place ahead of the governorship election which is around the corner.
Already, Oshiomhole has picked Ize Iyamu as the candidate that will fly the party ticket during the election, in effect making it clear that Obaseki will not get the party ticket, a situation that has turned Edo State into a battle ground ahead of the election.
