ITA-FAJI, Lagos, Nigeria – Ita-Faji area on the Lagos Island has been thrown into confusion, following the collapse of a three storey building, where a private school is located.
The school, which is situated at 36 Massey Street has been identified as Baden Private School, one of the mushroom private schools in Lagos. It is situated on the last floor of the 3 storey building that collapsed at about 10AM today trapping dozens of pupils underneath the rubbles.
At at the time of filling this report, rescue operation was still onging by officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, accompanied by local helpers.
We gathered that most of the pupils affected have been rushed to the Lagos General Hospital on the Island for medical assistant.
