LAGOS, Nigeria – Presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party(YPP), Professor Kingsley Moghalu has offered his condolences to families of those who lost their loved ones during the February 23 Presidential and National Assembly elections held across Nigeria.
Alot of Nigerians were killed on that day, with reports of thuggery, and killings led by Nigerian Army, ballot box snatching and burning of INEC materials.
In a statement, Moghalu said his heartfelt sympathy goes to those who lost their loved ones that only came out to perform their civic duty as well as those who were maimed, those who were not given the opportunity to vote due to stolen ballots/boxes and thuggery and those who were forced to vote for a candidate other than their choice.
He also sympathized with Youth Corpers who were put in harm’s way all because they were called to serve their fatherland. “This is not how things should be and that is the structure we are working hard to influence”, he said.
He thanked Nigerians for the support he received throughtout the electoral period.

My heartfelt sympathy goes to those who lost their loved ones that only came out to perform their civic duty. Also those who were maimed, those who were not given the opportunity to vote due to stolen ballots/boxes and thuggery; those who were forced to vote for a candidate other than their choice.
I also sympathize with Youth Corpers who were put in harm’s way all because they were called to serve their fatherland. This is not how things should be and that is the structure we are working hard to influence.
I thank you for your support all throughout this electoral period. Thank you for the investment of your time and resources. Thank you for believing in the vision and plans of my candidacy and the Young Progressives Party. God bless you all.
