AWKA, Anambra, Nigeria – The Anambra state chairman of Atiku/Obi Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Oseloka Obaze has commended the massive turn up during the Vice presidential candidate of PDP Peter Obi street, market and village tour of the state recently.
He said the turn up at the show was a clear confirmation of victory for PDP in the state. Obaze said, unprecedented crowd made up of traders, students, artisans and people from all walk of life that showed up during Obi road show organized by the PDP in all the parts of the state to create awareness among the people of the state was a clear statement that people of the are behind him and victory assured.
In a statement signed by Obaze and made available to journalists in Awka, Anambra state, he stated that Peter Obi street and market tour in the state was very successful and impressive given crowd that turned up.
He said during the visit , Obi spoke to the surging crowd made of students, traders, artisans and people from all walks of life, saying that the turn up was a confirmation that Obi is loved by the people of the state.
“The roadshow which saw the leadership of the PDP and the campaign director, Dr. Harry Oranezi and mammoth crowd crisscrossing through the major streets of Awka, Agulu, Nise, Adazi, Nnobi, market among others, was led by the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Mr. Peter Obi”he said.
According to Obaze during the road show, Obi intermittently spoke to the surging crowd, inviting them to vote for the PDP in the forthcoming election in order to empower Alhaji Abubakar Atiku to make Nigeria to start working again.
He also said that Obi used opportunity to educate the people on Atiku’s experience, past records, expertise in wealth-creation and empowerment among the many reasons Nigeria needs him now.
According to him,Obi assured the people of the state that a vote for Atiku is a vote for the country to witness the type of unprecedented development Anambra State witnessed under him.
Obaze said in the course of the road show, Obi addressed a mini rally at the Madonna Field Agulu, where he urged the people of the State to come out enmass and vote for Atiku in order to banish poverty, unemployment, nepotism in Nigeria.
