Lagos overtakes Kano with over 6 million registered voters

LAGOS, Nigeria – Lagos State has shot into the lead as the state with the highest number of registered voters. Lagos currently has  Lagos 6,570,291 registered voters based on the current register released by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) followed by Kano with  5,457,747. In the third place is Kaduna with 3,932,492.

Ekiti state has the least registered number of voters with 909,967 registered to vote in the general election. Total number of registered voters is now 84,004,084.
