ABUJA, Nigeria – Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose today made good his promise when he appeared at the old head office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).
Fayose who was clad in a black T-shirt with the incription, ‘EFCC,I’m here’ appeared at the commission’s office in company of his lawyer, Mr. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, and former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode and others.
Addressing journalists at the EFCC office, Fayose condemned the EFCC for baracading his office when he had informed the commission that he will be appearing to answer questions from the commission.
He said the commission ought to have given him the benefit of doubt after he told them of his intention to appear instead of invading his home in Abuja.
