LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Election(INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega has joined millions of Nigeria who are still in a state of Dejavu following the Osun governorship election won by candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Senator Ademola Adeleke but upturned during the rerun to produce Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress(APC) as winner.
Writing on his social media page, Jega, who is seen as hero of democracy for his courage in announcing President Buhari as winner of the 2015 election where an incumbent, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was in office said he is beginning to express worries about 2019 after taking a close look at the Osun rerun.
He expressed his worry as many election monitoring groups have scored the conduct of the election absymally low
“After taking a close look at what happened during the #OsunRerun Gubernatorial Election, I am beginning to expenses my worries on INEC ahead of the forth coming General Elections”, Jega said, sending an ominous sign ahead of the election.
