LAGOS, Nigeria – Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Monammed has come out to advance convincing reason why the All Progressive Congress, APC-led government cannot show Nigerians video of current state of President Muhammadu Buhari in London
The President has been away on account of ill health for over three months. But few days ago, APC governors led by Chairman of the party, Chief Odigie Oyegun paid courtesy visit to him in London. A member of the team, Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha circulated a statement on the visit with photographs of the team sitting with the ailing president.
There was no video recording of the visit and since then the President has not spoken to Nigerians even before this visit but via an audio recording which has sparked debate on the state of health of the President.
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose had alleged that the President is incapacitated and barely living on life support machine and threatened to release photographs.
But on his tweeter handle, Lai Mohammed tweeted that the only reason government is not showing video of the president to Nigerians is because showing the video will amount to shooting a movie abroad when government has acrually banned shooting of movies abroad.
“The only reason you didn’t see a video of PMB with the Govs is bcos we have banned shooting of movies abroad”, he said.
