LAGOS, Nigeria – At least 13 people were today rescued alive, following the collapse of a four storey building at No 3 Massey Street Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The building according to officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA collapsed at about 2.43 pm today.
General Manager, LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu said that rescue operarion involving LASEMA Response Unit, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), Lagos State Fire Service, Civil Defence, Red Cross and police is in progress.
“A 4 storey building totally collapsed at about 2.43 pm today 25th July 2017 at No 3 Massey Street Lagos Island, over thirteen victims rescued alive recovery operation on going by LASEMA Response Unit, NEMA, LASAMBUS, Lagos State Fire Service. Others includes Civil Defence, Red Cross Police”, LASEMA said.
