NIGERIA BEATS JAPAN 5 – 4 IN RIO OPENING GAME

Rio, August 5, 2016 – The Nigerian Olympic team early this morning defeated Japan the opening game at the 2016 Rio Olympic , starting on a very good note.

Nigerian took the lead in the 5th minutes with an opening goal by Sadiq Umar, followed by another goal by Etebo in the 9th minutes.

Etebo scored a penalty in the 41st minutes, followed by anohte goal by Umar in the 49th minutes. He took the goals up a minute later when he scored goal number 4 and also scored the 5th goal in the 66th minutes.

Japan however gave the Nigerian team a hard fight scoring 4 goals against Nigeria in the opening game.
The other game between Columbia and Sweden ended 2 -2 with both team giving a good account of themselves.
