September 2, 2015 – Elizade Motors has donated 10 Toyota Hilux trucks and 15 power bikes among them 2 BMW brands to the Nigerian Police through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund(LSSTF) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility(CRS).
While presenting the items to the Lagos State Police Command, Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr Oluranti Adebule charged the police to utilise the vehicles judiciously to enhance security of lives and properties in the State.
“The State government believes strongly in a crime-free society; we know that when we assist the police in their work, they will function optimally and our society will be a better place to live,” Dr Adebule said.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni thanked the state government for the gesture, just as he assured that the vehicles will be deployed to improve the crime prevention strategy of the force.
“On behalf of the Inspector General of Police, I use this opportunity to thank the state government, especially the Security Trust Fund for this kind gesture, I am assuring you on behalf of the police contingent in Lagos that we will use these vehicles for the betterment of security in the State; we will use it to improve our crime prevention activities in the state and increase police visibility, we are poised to deliver on the policy thrust of the Inspector General of Police that we should improve on our community policing in partnership with members of the public,” Mr Owoseni stressed.
The Managing Director of Elizade Nigeria, Mr Demola Ade-Ojo said the donation to Lagos State Security Trust Fund was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
