April 12, 2015 – Ogun State Governor, Mr. Ibikunle Amosun has been declared winner of the governorship election held in Ogun state yesterday.
According to Professor Duro Oni, INEC returning officer in Ogun State, Amosun who is candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 306,988 votes to defeat the PDP candidate, Mr. Gboyega Isiaka who scored 201,440 votes while Mr. Akin Odunsi, candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) scored 25,820 votes.
In Ewekoro, APC got 10, 735 while PDP scored 3, 275 votes. But in Remo North APC scored 7, 365 while PDP scored 6, 567 but the SDP candidate scored 923 votes. In Ijebu Ode, APC scored 10, 570 while PDP scored 11, 381. In Odeda LG, APC scored 10, 63 while PDP got 3, 633 votes.
In Abeokuta North APC scored 22, 740 while PDP got 6, 371 and SDP got 1, 439 votes. In Ijebu North -East, APC scored 5, 992 while PDP scored 6, 780 votes.
In Abeokuta South, APC took the lead with 35, 511 while PDP scored 10, 288 votes. But in Obafemi/Owode LG APC scored 16, 333 votes while PDP got 6, 637 votes. In Ikenne APC scored 11, 085 while PDP gathered 8, 686 votes.
In Ifo, APC won with 28, 596 votes while PDP scored 5, 818 votes. But in Imeko/Afon Local Government, PDP won with 12, 412 while the APC got 8, 253 votes. In Odogbolu, PDP lead with 10, 129 while APC got 10, 129 votes.
In Ado-Odo/Ota, APC won with 36, 108 votes while PDP scored 13, 763 votes. In Egbado South, APC scored 10, 844, while PDP scored 12, 915 votes. In Ipokia APC received 16, 240 votes while PDP scored 16, 877 votes.
In Ijebu North, APC scored 14, 317 votes while PDP scored 18, 787 votes. But in Sagamu APC got 18, 491 votes while PDP scored 14, 011 votes. In Ogun Waterside APC scored 8, 468 while PDP scored 7, 400 votes. In Ijebu East, APC score 8, 980 votes while PDP got 9, 408 votes but in Egbado North APC scored 15, 594 votes while the PDP got 16, 001.
