April 12, 2015 – Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and that of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Gombe State, Mallam Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo have been declared winners of the governorship poll held in Lagos and Gombe state.
INEC Returning Officer in Lagos, Prof. Isaac Adewole declared today the Ambode polled a total of 811, 994 votes to defeat candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Mr. Jimi Agbaje who scored 659,788 votes.
In Gombe State, INEC Returning Officer, Professor Saminu Ibrahim declared Dankwanbo winner having polled a total of 285,369 votes to defeat Mr. Inuwa Yahaya’s of the APC who scored 205,132 votes.
Agbaje won just five Local Governments, Ajeromi Ifelodun, Amuwo Odofin, Oshodi/Isolo, Surulere and Ojo, while Ambode won in 15 Local Governments.
