April 13, 2015 – Nasarawa State Governor, Mr. Tanko Al-Makura has emerged winner of the governorship election held on Saturday in the State.
He polled 309,746 votes to defeat Mr. Yusuf Agabi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 119, 782 votes while candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA), Mr. Labaran Maku scored 178, 983 votes.
While announcing the results today, INEC Returning Officer, Prof Hassan Abdulmumin Rafin Dadi declared Al-Makura winner having scored the highest number of votes in the election.
