January 13, 2015 – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today published the names of registered voters that would be used in the February general election.
Speaking in Abuja, INEC Chairman, and Professor Attahiru Jega said the commission has deleted 4 million Nigerians who were involved in multiple registrations from the register.
He said that the commission has registered 68,833, 476 million people.
He said the commission has also published the list of Presidential candidates and those seeking election into the House of Representatives and Senate.
He said that 14 candidates have been cleared to take part in the February presidential elections.
