Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Wale Ahmed made the revelation while speaking at the annual ministerial press briefing in Lagos. He said 46 casualties were recorded during the period with 23 casualties while one was rescued.
He added that eight motor accidents were recorded in the same period with six casualties while three people were killed in the incidents.
The commissioner explained that in the year 2013, about 1,784 members of the National Youth Service Corps were posted to the state adding that a total sum of N252, 960 million was paid out to them as allowance while the 1,570 others posted to Lagos in 2014 received N61,040,000 as allowance.
On search and rescue operation in Lagos, he said there is no bad blood between Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA).
He explained that the major problem has to do with protocol.
According to him, he should be the person to speak where he is present in an emergency site adding that in an emergency in any state the federal agency should wait to be invited and that rescue operation has to be done in a coordinated manner.
