Governor-elect of Anambra State, Dr. Willie Obiano was Monday sworn in as Governor of Anambra State. He took the oat along with his deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke, promising that he will never disappoint those who elected him.
He promised to deliver good governance anchored on the development of agriculture, industrialization, oil and gas and security adding that his administration would pursue aggressive mechanized agriculture so as to provide enough food for people of Anambra State.
Obiano who was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) said his government would provide an enabling environment for oil and gas development in the state, stressing that the new administration will establish a refinery in the state within one year in office.
The governor said he would strengthen security, particularly the community police, as well as ensure that other economic sub-sectors thrive to further boost the economy of the state.
He commended the efforts of his predecessor, Mr Peter Obi, which he said helped to move the state forward in all sectors of the economy.
