LAGOS, Nigeria – A 68 year old woman has delivered a set of twins at the Lagos State University Hospital, Idi-Araba. In a statement signed by Professor, W.L Adeyemo for LUTH Management, the school said the 68 year old woman was delivered of the twins after a a successful Invitro-fertilisation (IVF) conception the school said.
The school also posted photographs of the mother and father with their twin babies.
A copy of the statement obtained by www.starconnectmedia.com reads, ” LUTH has successfully delivered a Sixty-eight(68) old privigravida(pregnant for the first time) with twin, a male and female(gestation) preganancy following an IVF conception.

“She was delivered through an elective caeserian section at 37 weeks gestation on Tuesday, 14th April, 2020.
“The IVF and embrayo were done at an outside facility. She was thereafter referred to LUTH at early gestation and subsequently managed till term.
“This is the first in LUTH, Nigeria and Africa. Mother and babies are well”, Professor Adeyemo said in the short statement.
