ABUJA, Nigeria – Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme(PAP) has said it neither budgeted nor expended the sum of N1.1 billion on vehicles for staff as errorneously reported online.

In a statement, Head of Media, PAP, Mr. Sebastine Usifo Ebhuomhan said the total amount budgeted and approved by the National Assembly for the purchase of vehicles in 2019 is far less than half of the amount quoted in the said report.

According too him, the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Professor Charles Dokubo, has duly placed order for the supply of official vehicles and that it is presently taking delivery of same.

“The vehicle being used by the management staff the report referred to is owned by the staff member and is his personal car. The report is false in its entirety”, he said.
