September 12, 2015 – World number one female tennis champion, Serena Williams has ended her reign on the throne following her defeat by an unseeded Italian, Roberto Vinci at the US Open.
Prior to this defeat, one of her greatest challenger and threat in the female tennis has been her sister, Venus who often paired with her in the doubles.
Vinci who is number 42 in tennis ranking, was overwhelmed by the defeat.
“I don’t want to talk about how disappointing it is for me. If you have any other questions, I’m open for that,” Williams said at a post-match press conference.
