AWKA, Anambra – The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has called on Nigerians to demonstrate genuine love and kindness toward one another, not only on Valentine’s Day but at all times.
In a goodwill message she personally signed and made available to journalists in Awka, the First Lady emphasized that love should extend beyond the annual celebration and be reflected consistently in people’s daily interactions, especially toward the less privileged and those in need.
According to her, true love is best expressed through kindness, compassion, and selfless actions.
“Acts of love, no matter how small, can leave lasting positive impacts on individuals and communities,”
“I encourage families and friends to use this occasion to strengthen their bonds while also extending kindness to those around them.”she said.
Dr. Soludo, who is the founder of the Nonye Soludo Healthy Living Initiative, noted that while Valentine’s Day,celebrated every February 14—is often associated with affectionate messages and romantic gestures exchanged among partners, family members, and friends, its deeper meaning lies in promoting humanity and goodwill.
She advised residents to ensure that their words and actions reflect empathy, mutual respect, and genuine care for others.
According to her, society becomes better and more harmonious when individuals consistently embrace compassion and understanding.
The Governor’s wife wished residents of Anambra State a joyful Valentine’s Day and urged them to spread love across their homes and communities.
