ONITSHA, Anambra – Uturu community   in Onitsha Anambra State  on Sunday  adopted Prof. Gregory Ibe for Abia state governor and Hon Emmanuel Uchenna Akaeme for State House of Assembly for the 2023 general election.

They  said  Prof. Gregory  Ibe becoming the next governor of Abia State was non-negotiable, just like Akaeme.

“We are  supporting Prof Gregory Ibe and Uche Akaeme as our  consensus candidate”, they said .

The Uturu Development Association, Onitsha Chairman Mr. Livinus Ebi  who spoke on their behalf during their monthly meeting in Onitsha said that they have adopted Ibe and Akaeme because of their past records.

He  said that for Prof. Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe becoming the next governor of Abia State is non-negotiable.

“All Abians should know that Prof. Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe is  coming to occupy that governorship seat. To God be the glory” he stated.

According to him, they are adopting Hon. Akaeme as their consensus candidate because he has done it before as President General of Uturu Development Association.

Mr. Ebi said that they believe  in Akaeme capacity with hope  he would repeat the  wonders at Abia state house of assembly if elected  .

During the meeting, the elders of community prayed for Hon. Akaeme and  Prof. Gregory Ibe .
