DONALD TRUMP has tapped conservative TV commentator and legal brain Katie Zacharia as his new White House Press Secretary.
The 41-year-old mother of four is set to step into the West Wing spotlight to take over from Karoline Leavitt, who stepped down at the end of August following the birth of her second child.
Zacharia, a Pepperdine-trained lawyer turned media strategist, currently serves as a senior communications adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent firm behind the President’s beloved platform Truth Social.
She previously completed a stint as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security under Kristi Noem.
Now, the sharp-talking commentator is preparing to front the daily battles with the Washington press pack from the iconic James S. Brady Press Briefing Room podium.
Sources revealed Trump offered Zacharia the high-stakes gig after being impressed by her rapid-fire television appearances and fierce loyalty to his agenda.
Speaking previously about her media career, Zacharia—who balances her high-flying legal and TV career with raising four children—said: “My legal background taught me how to analyze complex issues, think critically under pressure, and communicate with clarity.”
Her predecessor Karoline Leavitt made history as the youngest White House Press Secretary in US history when Trump took office for his second term.
Leavitt was a constant presence alongside the President during his election campaign and early months in office before taking leave to focus on her expanding family.
Zacharia will now step directly into the hot seat as the chief mouthpiece for Trump’s administration.
Her Background
Pepperdine Caruso Law School graduate, licensed attorney, and nationally recognized political commentator.
Current Role: Senior Communications Adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group (Truth Social).
Government Experience: Former spokesperson at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Personal Life: Mother of four based in California.
As White House Press Secretary, Zacharia will lead daily briefings, manage media strategy for the Trump administration, and act as the principal voice of the President to the American public and international press corps.
