February 13, 2015 – Former Business Editor of the defunct Compass Newspaper and Publisher World Stage, an online newspaper, Mr. Segun Adeleye has lost his dad, Mr. Joseph Adeleye. He was 87.
He died earlier this month. In a statement, Segun Adeleye described him as his first hero and a very lovely man that did everything possible to ensure that his children were educated.
He said Pa Adeleye thought his children to be hardworking and upright and that there was no midway to integrity in his dictionary.
“He was my first hero. A very lovely man that did everything possible to ensure that his children were educated. He thought us how to be hard working and upright. In his dictionary there was no midway to integrity. I will miss him so much. May his soul rest in peace”, he said.
