ABUJA, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today extended the tenure of Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee by four months.
PDP extended the tenure in a resolution during the special convention at Eagle Square, Abuja. The party also rarified all concluded comgresses at the states and zones.
PDP also dissolved executive councils in Adamawa, Borno, Kebbi, Kwara, Ogun, Lagos and Osun State.
The party also affirmed the decision of the NCC in dissolving the Anambra State executive council and setting up of caretaker committee at all levels.
This is the first congress the party is holding after a very long and exhaustive battle between Ali Modu Sheriff and the Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee
