DONALD Trump has sensationally sacked his Attorney General Pam Bondi after she failed to satisfy his demands for a “bloody” crackdown on his political enemies.
In a shock Truth Social blast, the US President confirmed the blonde firebrand is out of the top job at the Department of Justice—making her the second high-profile Cabinet casualty in just a month.
Despite being one of the Don’s most loyal “MAGA” disciples, sources say Bondi was shown the door for being “too slow” to go after Trump’s rivals.
She has also been under fire over a “shambolic” handling of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking files, which left the White House fuming.
Trump tried to soften the blow online, calling Bondi a “Great American Patriot” and a “loyal friend.”
He claimed she had overseen a “massive crackdown” on crime, boasting that murders have hit their lowest level since 1900.
But behind the scenes, the knives were out. Trump reportedly told Bondi he was replacing her during a tense White House showdown on Wednesday, after allies urged him to “rip off the Band-Aid.”
Bondi, 60, put a brave face on the snub, saying leading the DoJ was the “honour of a lifetime” and she would be moving to a “job in the private sector.”
The New Guy
Trump has already moved his former personal lawyer, Todd Blanche, into the role as Acting Attorney General.
The move is seen as a clear signal that the President wants a legal “pitbull” who will follow his orders to the letter.
Bondi’s exit follows the recent firing of Homeland Security boss Kristi Noem, as Trump continues to purge any Cabinet members he deems “weak” or “ineffective.”
Bondi took the job 14 months ago and immediately set about “MAGA-fying” the Justice Department. She famously hung a banner of Trump’s face outside the DoJ headquarters and purged hundreds of career staff.
But she hit a wall when it came to the release of files on dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Conservative critics accused her of “illegal redactions,” while Trump grew “mercurial” over her failure to jail his “Deep State” foes.
Insiders say the President’s patience finally snapped when he realised his most loyal foot soldier couldn’t deliver the “revenge” prosecutions he’s been craving since his return to the Oval Office.
