    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 920 new cases 8931 active USA 219,279 in 24 hours

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 920 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 77,933. But out of the  77,933  all time cases, 67,784 patients have been treated and  discharged, while 1,218 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8931 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-308, FCT-207, Kaduna-179, Plateau-46, Niger-43, Adamawa-26, Sokoto-18,  Rivers-16, Yobe-15, Enugu-13, Kano-13, Ogun-12, Delta-10, Edo-5, Osun-3, Oyo-3, Anambra-2 and Ekiti-1, making a total of 920 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 920 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-308, FCT-207, Kaduna-179, Plateau-46, Niger-43, Adamawa-26, Sokoto-18,  Rivers-16, Yobe-15, Enugu-13, Kano-13, Ogun-12, Delta-10, Edo-5, Osun-3, Oyo-3, Anambra-2 and Ekiti-1 ; 77,933 confirmed ;67,784 discharged ;1,218 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 76,079, 322 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  1, 681, 885 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while 42,933,911 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 31, 463, 526 active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, both in the total number affected and casualties so far. Specifically, the United States has confirmed  17,589,590 cases,  315, 174 patients are already dead(219, 279 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 10, 004, 599  all time cases,  145, 136 deaths, while 9, 550, 712 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 308, 751 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 152 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 7, 162, 978 all time cases,  185, 650 patients are already late, while 6, 335,163 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with  642, 165 active cases of Coronavirus(52, 544 new cases).

    Russia remains the 4th country most hit, with 2, 792,615 confirmed cases, 49, 744 patients are no more, while 2, 233, 060 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Russia with 509, 811 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 772 new cases), followed by France which has confirmed  2, 516,957 all time cases, 60, 534  patients have kicked the bucket, while 189, 403 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 267, 020  patients still down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(17, 759 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has confirmed  2, 010, 077 cases since inception,  67, 177 patients are no more, while only 4, 354 patients have been lucky to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 938, 546 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 258 new cases).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit by the virus, reporting  2, 004, 285 confirmed cases,  17, 851 deaths and 1, 779,068 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 207,  366 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 195 new cases), followed by  Italy which has confirmed  1, 938, 083 all time cases, 68, 447 patients are already dead, while  1, 249, 470 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Italy with 620, 166 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 925 new cases) and Spain, which has confirmed  1, 797,236 all time cases, 48, 926 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 597, 934 patients still down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best of medical care to keep living.

    Argentina remains the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting  1, 531, 374 confirmations,  41, 672 deaths and 1, 356,755 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 132, 947 active cases of Coronavirus(7,002 new cases) and South Africa, now the 18th country worst hit with  912, 477 all time cases, 24, 539 patients are no more, while 787, 782 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving South Africa with 100, 156 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 939 new cases).
