    MANY FEARED DEAD AS 24 STOREY GRENFELL TOWER GOES ON FIRE IN LONDON

    KENSINGTON, West London – There is apprehension in London as fire engulfed 25 storey Grenfell Tower, Kensington in West London.




    The building according to local media is believed to house about 125 families. Many are said to have been dead in the fire.

    The incident which started at 2 AM threw the neighbourhood into confusion as fire fighters rushed to the scene to rescue people believed to have been trapped in the building.

    At 50 people are said to have been rushed to the hospital. But many expressed apprehension following the inability of fire fighters to get to the top of the building.

    Fire fighters were seen spraying water from the ground that could not get beyond the 7th floor.
    “I saw friends dying. It is terrible”, a Sudanese immigrant said in tears.
