    Man, 58 falls into deep well in Epe

    EPE,  Lagos, Nigeria – A middle aged man identified as Surakat Yesiru  was on Tuesday rescued from a deep well of about 50 metres  in Lagos.  The incident occurred at 9 Adesowon Road, Opposite Maternity , Ilara, Eredo LCDA, Epe, Lagos.

    The middle aged man accidentally fell into the well in front of his residential building. It is not clear if he was trying to fetch water from the well when the incident occurred.

    But help however came swiftly from the Lagos Fire Service, Epe, where the incident was reported.

    “Yesiru is however in a stable condition and recuperating at a private health facility”, Director of Fire, Mrs. Adeseye  Margarete said in a statement.

    “The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service had rescued one Surakat Yesiru from a deep well of about 50 metres early Tuesday morning at 9 Adesonwon Road, opposite Maternity, Ilara, Eredo LCDA Epe, Lagos State.

    “The 58 years old male who was reported accidentally fall into the deep well at  the front yard of the residential building was saved from the jaw of the death by the Epe Fire Station which incident was reported to the Watch Room at 0739 hours and relayed to the State Fire and Rescue Service Command and Control Room for swift response.

    “Yesiru is however in a stable condition and recuperating at a private health facility”.
