    Coronavirus:  Nigeria lists 513 cases; USA 116, 018 cases 2230 deaths

    Nigeria reports 513 cases of Coronavirus 3 deaths

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 513 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases 202, 704. But out of the 202, 704 confirmed cases, 191, 370 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 664 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8670 active cases, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 513 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 132, FCT – 80, Rivers – 70,  Kaduna – 43,  Edo- 40,  Ondo – 32,  Delta – 23, Akwa Ibom – 21,  Kwara – 16, Gombe – 12,  Anambra – 9, Benue – 9, Kano- 7, Oyo -6,  Borno – 3, Plateau – 3, Bayelsa – 2,  Katsina – 2, Ogun – 2, Jigawa – 1; 202, 704 confirmed; 191, 370 discharged;  2, 664 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 229, 462, 218 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4,706,641  patients are no more, while  5,960, 947, 305  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 42, 391, 981 confirmed cases, while 678, 205 patients are no more(116, 018 new and  2230 deaths*), followed by India with 33,504, 534 all time cases, while 445,385 patients are no more(26, 115 new and  252 deaths*) and Brazil  with 21, 247, 667 confirmed cases, while 590, 955 patients have died.

    The United Kingdom  remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 531,842 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 135, 792 patients have passed on(31, 347 new and 204 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 208, 241 all time infections, while  196, 235  lives have been wasted by the pandemic(18, 796 new and 797 deaths*)  and France now reporting 7, 054, 198 all time cases and 116,898 deaths(8776 new and 139 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, now reporting  6, 904, 255 all time cases, while 62, 065 lives  have been wasted(29, 338 new and 260 deaths*),  followed by  Iran with 5, 459, 796  confirmations and 117, 905 deaths(17, 564 new and 379 deaths*)  and Argentina with 5, 241,394  all time cases,  while 114,518 patients are no more(2162 new and 90 deaths*).

    Colombia is the 10th country most afflicted, reporting  4, 943, 622  confirmed cases  while 125, 962  patients have been killed by the pandemic(1373 new and  38 deaths*) and South Africa with  2, 886, 331 confirmed cases, while  86,376  patients  have been killed(2197 new and 160*) .
