GAZA, Palestine – Greta Thunberg, one of the twelve volunteers abducted by Israeli forces from the ship, Madeleine, one of the ships in Freedom Frotila on sail to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid and break the blockade on the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has been put on a plane to France.
Eleven others including a journalist with Al Jazeera and a European member of Parliament were held up at the Port of Ashdod, where the ship Madeleine has docked.
We gathered that the eleven volunteers are in the process of being transferred to the Ramleh detention center.
Just like Greta Thunberg who agreed on terms to be deported or sent to detention centers, the 11 others are currently under pressure to accept one of the terms.
There are reports that they May not agree to terms settled with Greta Thunberg and would rather stay in Israeli detention center as part of international pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet to ease the blockade on Gaza and end the war.
Israel forces stormed Madeleine on Monday after days of surveillance and towed it to the Port of Ashdod after prevailing on the activists on board to surrender at gun point.
