At the scene of the crash, police officers arrested an 18-year-old man. He was taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving.
The suspect has since been released on bail pending further forensic and physical enquiries.
The investigation is currently being spearheaded by detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who are meticulously analyzing the events leading up to the crash.
