LONDON – SIX men appeared in court today charged in connection with the brutal stabbing of young dad Blue Stevens in the heart of posh Knightsbridge.
The group, aged between 20 and 26, stood before Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning facing charges of perverting the course of justice.
The move follows a major investigation into the death of 24-year-old Blue, who was killed on the doorstep of luxury in Seville Street on July 9 last year.
The six men charged on Saturday and appearing today are:
Adnan Hindawi, 25, of Tower Hamlets
Ali Hindawi, 24, of Southall
Nicholas McCoy, 23, of Chiswick
Mozahedul Alam, 26, of Chiswick
Shafwan Meah, 20, of Chiswick
Jayden Clement-Bryan, 25, of Feltham
The defendants have been released on bail and are set to face a judge at the Old Bailey on March 9.
Blue’s devastated family today issued a heartbreaking plea for help, revealing the “complete” void left in their lives since his death.
In a moving statement, they said: “Nothing can undo what has been taken from us. Our lives will never be happy or complete without our Blue.
”Any information, no matter how small, could help our children to know their father’s life mattered.”
Despite the court appearances, the hunt for a key suspect continues. Detectives are desperately searching for 25-year-old Youssef Razak, who is wanted in connection with the murder.
DCI Samantha Townsend, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “We continue to follow every possible line of enquiry. Our thoughts remain with Blue’s family.”
Police were called to the scene at 9:24 PM on that fateful Wednesday night in July, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, the young father died at the scene.
