Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola few minutes ago switched on lights on Apongbon, Carter and Eko bridges, breathing life into night driving which has hitherto been a nightmare to many passing through these areas.

Fashola switched on the lights powered by generators with members of the Lagos State Executive Council. With him on the assignment were Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr Taofeek Tijani, whose ministry carried out the project, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Obafemi Hamzat and the General Manager, Lagos State Electricity Board, Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi among others.

With what has happened, commuters will now find it easy to drive through Idumota to Iddo and Ijora Olopa well lit. This is coming just few months after the governor switched on lights on Ikorodu road and Funsho Williams Avenue all in Lagos.
