ISRAELI warplanes have blown the lid off Tehran with a clinical assassination of one of the Iranian regime’s most feared military henchmen.
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Middle East, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed they eliminated Gholamreza Soleimani—the long-standing Commander of the notorious Basij unit—in a “precise strike” right under the nose of the Ayatollah.
Soleimani, who has spearheaded the regime’s brutal internal crackdowns for six years, was vaporised in a high-stakes mission on Monday based on “pinpoint” intelligence.
The IDF confirmed the hit yesterday, declaring that the commander’s reign of terror is officially over.
The Basij are the Iranian regime’s “iron fist,” a paramilitary force used to crush any sign of dissent. Under Soleimani’s direct command, the unit became synonymous with blood-soaked streets and state-sponsored thuggery.
When Iranian civilians took to the streets to demand freedom during recent protests, it was Soleimani’s masked thugs who led the charge—deploying severe violence, conducting mass arrests, and opening fire on unarmed demonstrators.
An IDF spokesperson said: “The Basij forces are part of the armed apparatus of the Iranian terror regime. Under Soleimani’s command, they led the main repression operations, employing severe violence against civilian demonstrators.”
The assassination is being hailed as a “significant blow” to the regime’s security command-and-control.
Soleimani is the latest in a long line of “Big Fish” targets to be crossed off Israel’s hit list. Scores of senior commanders have been wiped out in recent months as Israel ramps up its shadow war against the architects of global terror.
Military experts say the strike proves that no one in the Iranian leadership is out of reach, no matter how deep they hide in the capital.
The IDF warned that the bloodletting isn’t over yet, stating: “The IDF will continue to operate with determination against commanders of the Iranian terror regime.”
THE LOYALISTS: Formed after the 1979 Revolution, the Basij are a volunteer paramilitary force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). They are the regime’s “morality police” on steroids.
STREET FIGHTERS: They are primarily used for internal security. While the regular army defends the borders, the Basij are used to beat, kidnap, and silence Iranian citizens who dare to speak out against the government.
REIGN OF TERROR: During the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests, Basij members were filmed using live ammunition and batons against schoolgirls and peaceful protesters.
THE FALLEN CHIEF: Gholamreza Soleimani had been at the helm since 2019, making him one of the most powerful—and hated—men in Iran. His death leaves a massive power vacuum in the regime’s domestic defense strategy.
