LEBANON – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has killed not less than 19 people in strikes across Lebanon since dawn, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has announced.

The Israeli attacks targeted the following Lebanese villages in the past few hours,  Harouf Bazourieh,  Baysareyeh,  Srifa, Adosieh / Tafahta, Adosieh / Najarieh,  Burj al-Shemali / Ain B’al, Bazourieh, Teirfelsai,  Kharayeb,  Al-Housh,  Jebsheet and Nmayreyeh.

Other villages hit in the Southern Lebanon include Kfaruman, Ma’raka,  Safad al-Batikh, Tebnin,  Haress,  Yatar, Kuneen,  Qana,  Arab Saleem,  Jarjou, the Rayhan mount,  Sujod,  Mleeta,  Nabatieh,  Froon,   Kabrekha, Kfaruman,  Shawkeen, Qasbeyeh and Beir al-Salasel.

Meanwhile, a Lebanese,  Shiek Tle Zaineddine who was missing for days was found dead with members of his family in Safad al-Batik. They were found dead in their car as they prepared to leave the village when IDF subjected it to intense bombardment. Many people are still missing.

The ministry made the announcement of the casualties just as the Commanding Officer of the IDF Northern Command, Major General  Ori Gordin said his forces have entered a new phase of the campaign, and that  must be fully prepared for maneuvering and action.

MG Ori Gordin, visited the commanders and soldiers of the 7th Brigade during their brigade exercise on the northern border. He assessed their readiness and conducted an operational situational assessment with them.

During the visit, MG Gordin emphasized the importance of the soldiers’ preparedness and readiness in order to change the security situation and enable the residents of the north to return to their homes.

“We have entered a new phase of the campaign, and we are now in Operation ‘Northern Arrows.’ The operation began with a significant blow to Hezbollah’s capabilities, focusing on their firepower capabilities, and a very significant hit on the organization’s commanders and operatives. Facing this, we need to change the security situation, and we must be fully prepared for maneuvers and action”, he said.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has fired dozens of rockets into Northern Israel in retaliation. In Sa’ar,  two Israelis were reported injured when rockets made impact on Naharieh.
