    Coronavirus: 1857 killed in Brazil as Nigeria reports 71 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 71 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 167, 803.  But out of the 167, 803 confirmed cases, 164, 378  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 121 others could not survive it, leaving Nigeria with 1304 active cases of Coronavirus.

    NCDC 71 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-63; Oyo-4; Ogun-3; Kano-1: 167,803 confirmed; 164,378 discharged and 2,121 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There  are now 183, 319,994  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  3,967, 390  patients have passed on, while 3, 161, 774, 254 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered globally, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33,713, 626  confirmed cases, while  605,494 patients are now dead(24, 037 new and 203 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 30, 502,362  confirmations and 401,050 deaths(44, 111 new and 738 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 18, 687, 469  all time cases, while 521, 952  lives have been wasted by the pandemic(65, 165 new and 1857 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 845, 622  confirmed cases, while 111, 314 patients have died(3010 new and 17 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported  5, 519, 516   all time infections, while 134, 987 patients have been killed by the virus(24, 003 new and 685 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 5, 440, 368  cases, while 49, 874 patients have died(4537 new and 45 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 896,  265 all time cases, while 128, 471 patients have died(24, 530 new and 18 deaths*)  followed by Argentina which has recorded 4, 512, 439 all time infections, while 95, 382 lives are no more(20, 888 new and 610 deaths*) and Colombia which has registered 4, 324, 230  confirmed cases, while  108, 314 patients have died(54, 933 new and 1177 deaths*).

    Italy has come down as the 10th country most hit, reporting   4, 262, 511  confirmed cases, while 127, 637  patients have passed on(929 new and 22 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 2, 046,311 confirmed cases, while 61, 507  patients have died(26, 485 new and 175 deaths*).
