The remains of Isaac Akere, one of the victims that perished when their passenger boat, belonging to Bell Marine Services capsized on Wednesday has been recovered from the ocean by divers.

Akere’s family told reporters in Lagos that he was preparing to get married to his fiancée next week. His fiancé also perished in the ill-fated boat.

Public Relations Officer, National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye said the body will be handed to the family by Bell Marine services.

He prayed that God should grant his family and those of all those who lost people in the ill-fated boat the fortitude to bear the loss.

Recall that the boat was conveying 21 passengers to their destination in Majidun, Ikorud when it capsized on the waterways after hitting a solid object in the sea, killing a pregnant woman and six others on board including the couple.

The passengers who are top workers were heading to the Ikorodu Jetty where they hope to board their vehicles in the terminal to their various homes but most of them never returned.
