September 8, 2014 – Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Suleiman Abba today approved new Commissioners of Police for 21 states of the federation.
Under the new posting, Kayode Aderanti has been appointed the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, while that of Delta State is Usman A. Baba.
In the same vein the new Commissioner of Police for Rivers State is Dan Bature.
In a statement signed by Force Spokesman, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, the IGP said the new commissioners were appointed following the “recommendation of the Commissioners to the Police Service Commission and its subsequent approval.
He said the new posting is in line with the determination and drive to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for improved service delivery.
