CAIRO, EGYPT — The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced today that it has reached an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip, a deal that it says includes a full withdrawal of Israeli forces, a comprehensive prisoner exchange, and the entry of humanitarian aid.

In a press statement released early Thursday, the militant group credited negotiations brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and notably highlighted the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump in reaching the deal.

The agreement, Hamas stated, followed “responsible and serious negotiations” concerning a proposal from President Trump that had been presented in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The announcement, if confirmed by all parties, would mark a dramatic turning point in the protracted conflict that Hamas repeatedly described in its statement as a “genocidal war” against the Palestinian people.

According to the Hamas statement, the agreement is designed to achieve a permanent end to hostilities and includes several key provisions:

An immediate end to the war on Gaza.
The withdrawal of all occupation forces from the Gaza Strip.

The immediate and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid. The implementation of a comprehensive prisoner exchange.

Hamas placed particular emphasis on President Trump’s involvement, saying it “highly appreciate[s] the efforts” of the U.S.

President “aimed at permanently ending the war and ensuring the complete withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.” The strong endorsement of the American leader underscores the diplomatic weight placed on the U.S. role as a guarantor of the deal.
    Call for Enforcement

While announcing the agreement, Hamas immediately sought to put pressure on the international community to ensure its implementation, calling on President Trump and the “guarantor states of the agreement” to “compel the occupation government to fully implement all provisions.”

The statement explicitly warned against the Israeli government “evading or delaying the commitments that have been agreed upon.”
The statement concluded with a forceful salute to the Palestinian people across Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the diaspora, praising their “unmatched courage, honor, and resilience” in what it framed as a successful confrontation with “the fascist occupation’s schemes.”

Hamas asserted that the sacrifices of its people “will not be in vain” and pledged to remain committed to achieving “freedom, independence, and self-determination.”

There was no immediate comment from the White House, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, or the mediating countries—Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey—to independently confirm the agreement or detail its full terms.

Should the deal hold, it would represent a significant diplomatic victory for the international mediators and President Trump, and a major strategic concession from the Israeli government to ensure the release of prisoners and the cessation of conflict.
