October 5, 2015 – Gone Girl, a new film just hitting the box office was quite impressive at the weekend even though total sales was not too different from what was recorded the previous week.
Put together by Fox Pictures, Gone Girl made $38 million after passing through 3,014 viewing centres to emerge as the most patronized film in box office sales. Anabelle which was second in the top ten chart returned $37.2 million to Werner Brothers which produced the film to emerge as the second most patronized movie on the chart.
The Equalizer which was number one last week was pushed to number 3 when sales fell to $19 million after passing through 3, 236 theatres. At number 4 is Boxstrolls which was number 3 last week. The film made$ 12.425 million to make it to number 4 on the chart. The Maze Runner which was number 2 last week was pushed to number 5 when sales fell to $6.850 million in box office sales.
Other new films just making it to the big screen are Left Behind, Bang Bang, The Good Lie, Men, Women & Children and NAS: Time is Illmatic and Blue Room.
