BERLIN – There is apprehension among Germans over alleged Russian drone flights along a nuclear plant, forcing authority to launch a full scale probe into the breach.
The probe was instigated following multiple unauthorized drone flights across critical infrastructure in northern Germany, including repeated violations of no-fly zone above the nuclear plant.
The Bild newspaper which reported the issue cited internal police documents to butress the story.
The drones in a question are the Russian-made Orlan-10 models fitted with long range capabilities.
The concern is that the drones are on both espionage and sabotage mission.
