JERUSALEM — ISRAELI PM Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a chilling warning to the West, claiming Islamist fanatics are “eating the hearts” of victims while they are still alive.
In a graphic address, the veteran leader described a level of “fanaticism” that he insists poses an existential threat not just to the Middle East, but to the streets of London and beyond.
Mr. Netanyahu claimed that during acts of terror, militants had “cut open the chest” of a person while they were “still alive” before proceeding to “eat the heart.”
The Prime Minister used the stomach-churning imagery to demand a global crackdown on radical groups, warning that the world cannot afford to look away from such depravity.
”That fanaticism has to be confronted,” Netanyahu declared, framing the current conflict as a front-line battle for Western civilization.
The PM didn’t stop at the horrors on the ground, issuing a direct “wake-up call” to European nations.
He warned that if these radical ideologies are not crushed at the source, they will inevitably spread across borders.
”It will move and invade your countries,” he cautioned, suggesting that the same “barbaric” violence could soon reach Western soil if the world fails to support Israel’s mission.
The Prime Minister’s comments come amid a period of intense regional instability and a heightened war of words between Israel and its adversaries.
The Conflict: Israel is currently engaged in multi-front operations against groups like Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, following the October 7 atrocities which saw 1,200 people killed.
Rhetoric of War: Netanyahu has frequently used “clash of civilizations” language, often comparing his enemies to ISIS and the Nazis to secure continued military and diplomatic support from allies like the UK and the US.
Psychological Warfare: Reports of extreme atrocities have been a hallmark of this conflict, with both sides accusing the other of unimaginable cruelty. Netanyahu’s latest claims aim to highlight the “inhuman” nature of the ideology his forces are battling.
