    FRSC commends corps members for enlightenment on roads users

    ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – The Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Corps FRSC, Anambra State, Corps Commander, Andrew Ikumapayi has commended members of   National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC)  for being instrumental to the success of enlightenment campaigns embarked upon  by his command in the State.

    Ikumapayi gave the commendation when   the State Coordinator, NYSC Anambra State, Mr. Kehinde Aremu visited  the FRSC Command Headquarters in Awka  on Tuesday.

    He commended  NYSC in the State for its accomplishment ,attributing  the success to the  purposeful and focused leadership of the coordinator and staff of the scheme.

    According to him, with the enthusiasms with which the corps members carried out sensitization of road users, coupled with their creative ingenuity  during their Community Development  activities were highly commendable.

    The FRSC commander warned corps members not to travel at night as it was not good for them. He also declared his willingness to visit the orientation camp personally to sensitize corps members on their  expected roles with regards to their safety and that of others on the roads.

    Speaking earlier, , Kehinde Aremu said that he would ensure that  no corps member is not allowed to travel  beyond the hour of 6.00 pm. He also called for deeper involvement of Schedule Officers of both the NYSC and the FRSC in driving the entrenchment of safety culture among corps members.
