    EVANS IN COURT, LOOKING DEJECTED SAYS WE’VE NOT EATEN FOR 5 DAYS

    IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – The court of Hakeem Oshodi took a rowdy turn this morning following complains by notorious kidnap suspects, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike alias Evans that the Nigerian Prison Service, NPS has been starving them.




    Evans who is on trial with 5 others, was not in his usual self, looking very hungry, dejected complained bitterly to his lawyer, Mr. Ogungbeje that he and his fellow suspects have not eaten for five days. He said they have not eaten since Monday but Wednesday.

    They locked us in one place, no food, no baffing(bathing) Evans screamed to the hearing of the reporter. His fellow suspects also comfirmed the development even as a senior NPS official denied the allegations.

    Ogungbeje who was visibly angry by the development sought permission to go and procure food for his clients, pleading that only a living person that can be put on trial.

    Evans and 5 others were charged with conspiracy to commit felony and kidnapping contrary to section 411 of the Criminal Law Cap 17 Laws of Lagos State 2015.

    The others are Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi and Victor Chukwunonso Aduba.
