GAZA, Palestine – The full details of President Donald Trump’s 60 days ceasefire proposal for Gaza has been released.
Recall that Donald Trump announced the proposal on his X platform and said the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led Israeli Government has agreed to the proposal and looked forward to favorable response from the Islamic Resistant Movement, Hamas.
So far Hamas has given a favourable response after internal consultation and Trump is confident that the ceasefire will materialize next week.
Here are the details of the proposal as reported by Aljazeera.
The ceasefire will be guaranteed by President Donald Trump of the United States.
Israel will allow more aids into the Gaza Strip but Hamas wants the aid to be distributed through the Red Crescent and the United Nations Workers Relief Agency, UNRWA instead of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, GHF which has become a death trap accounting for 580 deaths based on statement from the Gaza Media Office.
Under the proposal Hamas will release ten living captives and 18 dead bodies during the 60 day period.
Israel will in turn release unquantifiable number of Palestinian prisoners in exchange
Fighting by parties will halt for 10 hours each day.
Israel is to redeploy soldiers from the Nazarene and other corridors
It will be followed by discussion on permanent ceasefire.
