Atlanta, Sept. 27, 2016 – Following the success of the codeshare agreement launched in March 2016, Delta Air Lines and joint venture partner Air France-KLM will enhance existing co-operation with India’s Jet Airways.

The expanded agreement adds new convenient travel options for customers flying from North America via Paris-Charles de Gaulle to India, complementing the current service offered through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Effective Oct. 30, and subject to government approvals, Delta customers flying from the United States and Europe will be able to connect onto Jet Airways’ flights to Mumbai from Paris; and to New Delhi and Mumbai from Amsterdam. From here customers can then fly to 20 destinations within India.

“Delta’s co-operation with Jet Airways has been a great success and has opened up significant new service options via Amsterdam for the 11,000 passengers flying between North America and the Indian subcontinent each day,” said Nat Pieper, Delta’s Senior Vice President – Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. “The expansion of the codesharing across our European hubs is the next step in deepening our cooperation with Jet Airways and building strong links with the Indian market.”

“The extension of the services with Jet Airways and Delta Air Lines will enable Air France-KLM’s customers to travel more easily and with the best possible services via our two powerful European hubs, between Europe, India and North America.” said Pieter Bootsma, Executive Vice President – Commercial Strategy of Air France-KLM.

Subject to government approvals, Delta’s customers connecting through Paris and Amsterdam to Mumbai and New Delhi will have codeshare access to 20 onward destinations in India served by Jet Airways. After government approvals, new Delta codeshare destinations will include Calicut, Coimbatore, Goa, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Pune, Trivandrum and Vadodara.
Existing Delta destinations available through the Jet Airways codeshare are: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Air France-KLM customers departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol currently have access to 10 codeshare destinations across India such as, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

New connectivity through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport

With the expanded codeshare, Delta customers will be able to connect onto Jet Airways’ flights to Mumbai over Paris as well as onward to several destinations within India.

In turn, Jet Airways will codeshare on Delta’s complete offering from and to 13 destinations in North America via Paris-Charles de Gaulle namely Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, Salt Lake City and Seattle.

Jet Airways will also, subject to government approvals, codeshare on Air France’s flights to 12 destinations in North America, including: Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Washington in the U.S.; Vancouver and Montreal, Canada; and Mexico City, Mexico.

Once complete, Jet Airways will codeshare to 21 North American gateways operated by Air France and Delta. Jet Airways will also continue to codeshare on Air France operated flights to 28 European destinations beyond Paris.

Expanded codeshare agreement through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Jet Airways will codeshare to nine additional points between North America to Amsterdam operated by Delta and KLM, bringing the total to 19 points. The additional destinations include: Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, Portland, Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Mexico City, Mexico.

Subject to government approvals, Jet Airways will also codeshare to 10 cities within the U.S. operated from and to Delta’s U.S. hubs to the following destinations – Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis and Tampa. Jet Airways will also continue to codeshare on KLM-operated flights to 30 European destinations beyond Amsterdam.
