BEIRUT – The death toll arising from air strikes carried out by Israel across Lebanon has risen to 356. while those injured has risen to 1,246, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has said.
This occurred as the Israeli Defence Forces intensified strikes in Lebanese villages.
Reacting to the development, the IDF said in a statement.
“Let me be clear: Hezbollah is responsible for this situation. This is Hezbollah’s plan – to turn southern Lebanon into a battlefield for its attacks on Israel. We cannot accept a terrorist group storing weapons inside people’s homes, and using them to fire at other civilian communities.”
It added that over the past few hours, with the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF struck hundreds of Hezbollah targets, including launchers, command posts and infrastructure in numerous areas in southern Lebanon.
The statement added that IAF struck approximately 1,600 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.
