    Coronavirus kills 2378 in Brazil 2219 in India as Nigeria reports 64 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 64 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases in the country to 166,982. But out of the 166,982 confirmed cases, 163,331 patients have been treated and discharged; while 2,117 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1534 active cases of Coronavirus.

    NCDC @NCDC 64 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Yobe-18, Lagos-16, Delta-10, Katsina-7, Gombe-5,  Edo-2, Kano-2, Rivers-2, Kaduna-1 and Kwara-1: 166,982 confirmed; 163,331 discharged; 2,117 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 174, 140, 310  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3, 750, 518  patients are already dead, while  2, 207, 745, 868 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 402, 758  all time cases,  while 598, 638 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(14, 827 new and 285 deaths*), followed by   India, which has  documented  29,  089, 069 all time infections,  353, 528 patients have passed on(92, 596 new and 2219 deaths*) and  Brazil which has reported 17, 037, 129  all time infections, while 476, 792 patients have been killed by the pandemic(52,911 new and 2378 deaths*).

    France is the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 787, 113  confirmed cases, while 110, 364 lives have been wasted(5560 new and 65 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has documented 5, 306, 690  all time cases while 48, 428  patients are no more(6454 new and 87 deaths*) and Russia which has reported 5, 096, 657  confirmations, while 122, 802  patients have died from the pandemic(10, 271 new and 393 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 551, 687  all time infections, while  128, 124 lives are no more(7322 new and 7 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 237, 790 all time cases, while 126, 767  patients are no more(2198 new 77 deaths*) and Argentina which has registered 4,008, 771  all time cases, while 82, 667 lives have perished(31, 137 new and 721 deaths*).

    Germany is the 10th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 3, 715, 870   all time cases, while 89, 522  lives are no more(3275 new and 88 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 704, 058  all time cases, while 57, 183 patients have died as a result of the pandemic.
