    Cote D’Ivoire beats DR Congo, set up thrilling final with Nigeria

    BOUAKE, Cote D’Ivoire. – Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire on Wednesday night defeated DR Congo 1-0 to set the stage for a thrilling cracker with the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.

    Both Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire met at the group stages with the Super Eagles beating the Elephants 2-1.

    But this encounter will be different from the group stages as the Elephants will be playing for pride and a revenge against Nigeria and before a crowd of supporters, who will do all it can for their team to secure victory.

    Nigeria on the other hand will have to up the game in other to be able to squeeze victory from the rugged Ivorian team.

    South Africa on the other hand will play DR Congo for the third place match on Saturday ahead of the final encounter on Sunday.
